Young Quail Planter

As a young child Margaret Hudson watched families of quail play in the fig orchards around her family’s home in the central valley. When she launched her artistic career Margaret drew on these childhood experiences for inspiration, and found an expression of her own joy and playfulness in what would become her signature piece, the Valley Quail. Each of these quails are handcrafted by skilled artisans from locally-sourced, specially mixed clay and high fired to a rich brown color, making them durable enough for indoor or outdoor display. With a 3″ pot this quail is perfect for small flower arrangements.
